• Grade 5 is part of our Middle School model • Accelerated curriculum in Math, ELA (English Language Arts) and Social Studies. Students are identified by aptitude. • Students are not tracked; they can move between levels on teacher’s recommendations, classwork, state test scores and ITBS (Iowa Test of Basic Skills) results. (Content is the same in Math; difference is the depth and pace of material) • Weekly Science lab for Grades 6 to 8 • Algebra 1 Regents available to accelerated 8 grade students • Earth Science Regents course for all Grade 8 students • Foreign Language included in GPA • Engineering • Special: Art, Music and Physical Education • Individual Chrome Books • Middle School lockers • TACHS (Test for Admission to Catholic High Schools) prep class after school for Grade 8 (additional cost) • School musical (additional cost) |
