We are thrilled to have Paul Effman music back in our school building to help our students develop their love for music and musical instruments. For those interested in joining our band program, the registration form is below. There will be a demonstration for our students during the first weeks of school, showing them the instruments available. Classes will take place every Thursday that we are in session for a full school day. The start of the program and further details will be sent as we get closer.

After School Activities
All programs will begin the week of September 18th and will run for 10 sessions from 3:15-4:15 pm. Once you have registered your child/children, you will receive a calendar and more details for the scheduled program dates. All fees will be billed directly to your family FACTS account.
Please note, for students enrolled in SJP Care, they can attend the After School activities and then be brought down to SJP Care.

Monday
Discovering STEM (Grades K to 3)- 3:15-4:15 pm… Fee-$280
Hands-on, project-based challenges designed to tap into critical thinking skills with an emphasis on innovation and creativity. Our programs mix all the elements of STEM to encourage problem-solving skills while developing team building strategies. The key objective is to introduce basic concepts of STEM while having the opportunity to fail and try again in a safe environment. Class hosted by the STEM Alliance.
Pottery Painting (Grades 2 to 5)- 3:15-4:15 pm…Fee-$275
Students will use their creativity to design different pottery projects. Students will receive all materials needed for this 10-week program. The moderator will take them through various art and design techniques on how to create beautiful pieces of pottery. The perfect way to unwind and get creative after school! We’ll explore different techniques in ceramic painting, including masquing, silk screening, etching, stamping, and more. One new project per student each week, with beautiful, fired pieces returned in 1-2 weeks! Class hosted by MADE: my art + design experience.

CYO Chess (Grades 2 to 8)- 3:15-4:15 pm… Fee- $250
Learn the fundamentals of chess. Increase your analytical and critical thinking skills.
Typing Course (Grades 5 to 8)- 3:15-4:15 pm… Fee- $250
Typing correctly is about getting the brain, fingers, and keyboard to work together. At the same time, it frees up cognitive energy so you can focus on ideas, instead of language. Learning keyboarding improves accuracy and can help with decoding and sight-reading skills. Offered by the Center for Career Freedom, this course will use different combinations on the keyboard to strengthen your child’s ability.

Little Ecologist Course (Grades K to 2)- 3:15-4:15 pm…Fee-$250
Little Ecologists is an English and French immersion program designed around the cycle of nature with the 4 seasons and the colors of the Rainbow. Each week we choose a color, a topic, a book, and we link it with ecological subjects such as global warming or waste reduction, biodiversity and the 3 R’s: reduce, reuse, and recycle to raise children’s environmental awareness. We offer fun and playful activities such as French story time, Arts and crafts, and interactive games around the theme of the Earth.
Digital Design (Grades 3 to 5)- 3:15-4:15 pm… Fee-$300
Weekly digital design and animation projects bring out individual creativity while learning new
tech skills across multiple software platforms. Class hosted by the STEM Alliance.

Storytime Painting (Grades PreK to K)- 3:15-4:145 pm…Fee-$275
For our younger students, this activity will allow them to listen and enjoy a themed short story, followed by a painting activity linked to the story they just heard. Students will receive all materials needed for this 10-week program. The moderator will take them through various ways of painting and design. One new project per student each week, with beautiful, fired pieces returned in 1-2 weeks. Class hosted by MADE: my art + design experience.
Website Design (Grades 5 to 8)- 3:15-4:15 pm… Fee- $300
Future entrepreneurs and aspiring designers alike will learn the tech skills needed to launch their ideas visually. From implementing creative design styles to troubleshooting how to structure their site with the user in mind, students will be able to publish their own sites. Class hosted by the STEM Alliance.
