Mission Statement

Saints John and Paul School is a co-educational, Roman Catholic school for grades K-8 that is committed to providing quality, affordable education.  Our administration, faculty, parish and parents are dedicated to building a school family for our children that encourages academic excellence, emphasizes respect for human values, elevates concern for community needs and incorporates our Catholic faith into our every day lives.  At Saints John and Paul School, we endeavor to open students’ hearts as well as their minds.

Dedicated to living faith in action, Saints John and Paul School has provided quality, affordable education to the community for 50 years.  The administration, faculty, parents and students work in Christian partnership to ensure an educational experience rooted in love, worship and concern for human values.

At Saints John and Paul, we are committed to academic excellence, which is overseen by exceptional, certified teachers, many of whom hold Master Degrees.  We follow a comprehensive program that adheres to New York State Learning Standards, as well as Essential Learnings prescribed by the Archdiocese of New York.  We also have one of the most technologically advanced resources in Westchester County, with a dedicated media center, SMART Boards in every classroom, a comprehensive SAFARI Video Library, and a computer room with more than 20 personal computers.

Our students are challenged to become problem solvers and enthusiastic, inquisitive, self-motivated, life-long learners.  Saints John and Paul graduates currently attend Regis High School, Fordham College Preparatory, Iona Preparatory, The Ursuline School, The School of the Holy Child, Greenwich Academy, The Hackley School, and the The Harrodian School of London.

Participation in community service projects builds strong character.  Each year, our students reach out to numerous organization in our area, including organizing a weekly food pantry collection, visiting residents at Sarah Neuman Nursing Home, coordinating Mitten Drives for Cardinal McCloskey Home, collecting food for Holiday Baskets for the hungry, and volunteering at the Hope Community Soup Kitchen, among many other deserving organizations.

In addition, our school spirit thrives.  Our students enjoy fun-filled opportunities to celebrate our school community with annual events such as our Christmas Pageant, Pep Rally, Field Day, Halloween Parade, Talent Show, and more.

Perhaps most importantly, we endeavor to provide our students with opportunities to be respectful of all life, and practice Christian values through prayer, worship and service to others in our society.  We believe that every child should strive to be not only a good student, but also a good person.
