A letter from our Principal:

Dear Parents,

Saints John and Paul School has been providing quality education to the community for over 50 years.  Dedicated to living faith in action, the administration, faculty, parents and students work in Christian partnership to assure an education experienced rooted in love, worship and concern for human values.  The school is committed to academic excellence, and follows a comprehensive program adhering to New York State Learning Standards as well as Essential Learning prescribed by the Archdiocese of New York.  Our teachers are certified and most have Masters Degrees.  Students are challenged to become problem solvers and enthusiastic, inquisitive, self-motivated, lifelong learners.

Our Students also participate in numerous community service projects each year, including: a weekly food pantry collection, visiting residents at Sarah Neuman Nursing Home, mission donations, holiday food baskets, and service at the Hope Community Kitchen.  The school will continue to provide students with opportunities to be respectful of all life, and practice Christian values through prayer, worship and service to others in our society.

We hope you will consider joining our school family.

Ms. Anne Menno, Principal

Admission Policies

Roman Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of New York base their educational purpose and all their activities on the Christian teaching of the essential equality of all persons as rooted in God’s love.

Thus, with discrimination so repugnant to their nature and mission, Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin, or gender in administration of educational and admission policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school administered programs.

The policy is subscribed to by all Catholic elementary and secondary schools in the Archdiocese of New York whether owned or operated by the Archdiocese, the parishes of the Archdiocese or the religious communities with the Archdiocese.

The process for admission to Saints John and Paul School is: parents must complete the school application form and provide all required documents.  For entrance to Kindergarten, a screening is required.  Following an interview and evaluation of materials, the parents will be notified about the status of the child.
